Dear Dharma Brothers and Sisters,

We are delighted to announce that His Holiness the 41st Sakya Trichen and His Holiness the 42nd Sakya Trizin will again be in residence at Tsechen Kunchab Ling in Walden, New York during June and July 2024. They have kindly consented to bestow ten days of important Paramitayana and Vajrayana Dharma teachings, including the Vajrakilaya major empowerment and three days of instructions on the sadhana.

Vajrakilaya is one of the highest tantric teachings in the Tibetan Buddhism. Vajrakilaya manifests the Buddha's wise and compassionate activity in wrathful form in order to overcome evil and to protect the Dharma. Meditation on Vajrakilaya is a skillful method to deal with obstacles that arise to block progress on the path to Buddhahood for the sake of all living beings. For thirteen hundred years it has been one of the most important practices of His Holiness' Khon Sakypa family lineage.

This very special series of teachings and empowerments is taking place during the eightieth year of His Holiness' life, so before and during this event, all of His Holiness' disciples are encouraged to join in accumulating merit and mantra as an offering of Dharma practice so that His Holiness may continue to teach and guide us far into the future. A grand celebration of his eightieth year and formal ceremony requesting His Holiness to remain in this world for long will be held at the conclusion of the teachings.

The event begins on June 25 and continues through July 4, 2024. The teachings will be offered in person only, not online.
