NGATSO FEST

We are the first to ever organize an indoor Himalayan festival in New York . The fest provides a unique opportunity for attendees to immerse themselves in the rich tapestry of Himalayan culture, featuring authentic cuisine, crafts, dance, and art. The Fest is dedicated to promoting and bolstering small-scale, locally owned Himalayan businesses. Participants have the chance to exhibit their products and establish connections with fellow entrepreneurs who share similar values, all aimed at nurturing an ecosystem of emerging entrepreneurs and facilitating informed business decisions.

I wasn’t initially ready to appear on camera because there is still much work to be accomplished. However, given our shared thoughts and objectives with the Tibetan New Yorkers YouTube Channel team, I ultimately agreed to my first on-camera appearance. Our overarching aim has consistently revolved around inspiring our community members to generate innovative ideas and take proactive steps toward empowering every individual among us.”

EXPLORE NGATSO STORE!

We are thrilled to add a shop on NGATSO!

Many of our early NGATSO followers have reached out to us when we first introduced our new shop news! They even bagged some of the first few items we have in our upcoming shop.

This project has been under works for some time and we look forward to expanding our collection as we grow. Our collections are carefully curated and selected by our team to showcase and promote talented Tibetan creatives.

We are committed to introducing you to new emerging as well as renowned Tibetan artists who are passionate and skillful in their crafts. We want to support Tibetans and what more meaningful way to do it through helping promote and build their small businesses!

Q&A

Q&A with an Army recruiter

Our First! Ngatso will be creating short interview videos covering topics which are of interest for many of us.

Sergeant Ngawang Youten has been in the U.S. Army for over 11 years and he is currently based in New York as a recruiter. During our interview, I learnt the type of sacrifices that these soldiers have to make. This includes leaving your family behind for long months of deployment. Sergeant Youten, we wish you all the very best in Korea.
