About the Author: Lekey Leidecker
Lekey Leidecker, a Tibetan poet and essayist, was born and raised in Berea, Kentucky. With familial roots in Pemako, her literary works have been featured in numerous Tibetan publications such as Yeshe, The Penguin Book of Modern Tibetan Essays, and The Pomelo, as well as in a variety of other outlets including Rigorous, ANMLY, Diaspora Baby Blues, and Genre: Urban Arts. She splits her time between London and New York City. "Learning Tibetan" marks her debut poetry collection.
